Added6

  • Distraction Shield — during a focus session, if you settle on something marked distracting, Rymot asks what's actually going on instead of silently logging it. Four honest answers, capped at three prompts a day, and it never blocks anything.
  • The Coach — a second opinion on your day that stays quiet unless it has something worth saying. Every decision to speak or stay silent is recorded, so you can see what it noticed and what it held back.
  • Floating focus companion — a small always-on-top timer that follows you across workspaces, with its own controls and remembered position.
  • Browser Bridge — a Firefox extension that tells Rymot which site you're on, so browsing time is tracked by domain instead of collapsing into one "Firefox" block. Its connection state now survives restarts and reports honestly instead of flashing "Disconnected" on startup.
  • First-launch profiles — pick how you work and Rymot tunes its defaults to match.
  • macOS support — the app now detects the three permissions macOS never asks for on its own, explains what each one actually breaks, and links straight to the right settings pane.

Improved5

  • Experimental Wayland tracking now recovers active time from GNOME's own idle monitor, so a Wayland session records real activity instead of silently logging everything as idle.
  • Dashboard and Cognitive Atlas are dramatically faster on long histories — the queries behind them no longer read your entire history to answer a question about one day. On a year of data that is roughly a thousand times quicker, and it stops getting slower as your history grows.
  • Chat apps (Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp, Signal and others) are now categorised as Personal rather than Admin, and Rymot classifies its own windows as Admin so checking your stats no longer counts toward your productive hours.
  • Website and app classifications expanded — AI assistants, diagram tools, and several code editors that were previously uncategorised.
  • Privacy settings now separate usage analytics from crash reports, and both preferences are stored with your data so they survive and travel with a backup.

Fixed7

  • Days are now resolved on your own calendar rather than in UTC. Entries near midnight were filing under the wrong day, and Weekly Retro was showing the wrong seven days entirely for anyone east of Greenwich.
  • The Coach's "today" figures counted part of yesterday, overstating the day by several hours depending on your timezone.
  • The Coach panel scrolls again — long summaries were being cut off with no way to reach the rest.
  • The Distraction Shield card no longer presents a curated website list and your own marked apps as one confusing list.
  • Browser domains are no longer discarded while a page sits open and unchanged.
  • The Shield dialog stays in front on Wayland instead of slipping behind the window that triggered it.
  • Planner block reminders were dropped when a block was created and missed when they came due.
