Yes. Once the agent is installed and running, time is tracked automatically with no manual action from employees. Idle time is detected and paused.
Can employees see their own time logs?
Yes. Every employee on Rymot Workforce can access their own timeline, time totals, and app breakdowns in real time — the same data their manager sees.
How accurate is the time tracking?
Rymot logs activity at 1-minute intervals. It detects keyboard and mouse input to determine active vs idle states, making it far more accurate than manual timers.
Can I track time by project?
On the Workforce Pro plan and above, you can assign time to projects manually or via integrations. Enterprise supports automated project tagging via app/URL rules.
What happens if an employee forgets to turn it off?
Rymot's smart idle detection automatically stops logging active time when there's no keyboard or mouse input for a configurable threshold (default: 5 minutes).
Is the data exportable for payroll?
Yes — export timesheets to CSV or PDF in one click, ready for your payroll provider. Overtime is auto-calculated based on configurable thresholds.
Do employees know they are being tracked?
Yes, Rymot Workforce is fully transparent by default. Employees see the same data their manager sees via their own personal dashboard.
How long does setup take?
Under 5 minutes per device using our silent installers (MSI, PKG) or standard manual install. Enterprise supports bulk MDM deployment.
Is data stored locally or in the cloud?
Rymot Local stores all data on-device. Workforce plans store data in our cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest.
What platforms are supported?
