- Linux downloads now lead with the AppImage. It runs on any distribution and updates itself in place with no password prompt; the .deb is still there for anyone who wants a system package.
Fixed6
- Windows: starting a focus session no longer freezes the app. The floating companion never appeared and every button — including close — stopped responding, because opening that window blocked the thread the whole interface runs on. Windows only; Linux and macOS were never affected.
- The browser extension list now reports each browser on its own. Connecting the extension in one Chromium browser marked Chrome, Chromium, Brave and Edge as installed, all showing the same "last seen" time, because they shared a single record. Remembered history is cleared once in this update, since the old records cannot be traced back to the browser they came from.
- The extension's Install button opens your browser. It was asking the app's own window to navigate, which goes nowhere, so the button did nothing at all.
- A browser that was disconnected can be reinstalled from Settings. Once an extension had connected and later stopped, the row showed only "Disconnected" with no way to put it back.
- Applications now lists every app Rymot has tracked. An app only appeared there if Rymot had also managed to read its icon, so apps that hide their icon — common with Flatpak, Snap and on Wayland — were being tracked but never shown, and could not be categorised. Anything already missing is restored when you open this version.
- Updates no longer ask for your password out of nowhere. On a .deb install, applying an update needs system permission, and Rymot was starting that eight seconds after launch with nothing explaining it. It now waits for you to click, and says the prompt is coming. AppImage, Windows and macOS still update on their own — they never needed permission.
