- Get started checklist. Six first-week steps in the sidebar that complete themselves as you do them, each linking to where it happens.
- Focus environments. When a session starts, Rymot opens your apps and links, plays a sound, and closes the apps you chose (with a few seconds' notice to skip), then puts everything back when the session ends. Every action is listed under "What Rymot did".
- Obsidian integration. Connect your vault and plan the tasks in your notes. Tick one off in Rymot and it is ticked off in the note. Rymot only ever changes that one checkbox.
- Share your focus. A card for today, this week, last week or this month: total focus, sessions, your best window and a 24-hour dial of when you focused. It is generated on your computer and never includes app or site names.
- What Rymot knows. Everything Rymot has worked out from your activity and answers, each with its evidence and a way to undo it.
- Close the day. A one-tap evening reflection with three short answers, opened with the day's own numbers, and a reminder the next morning of what you planned to start with.
- Optional on-device AI (off by default). A short summary of your day where every sentence cites the moments it came from, plus suggested categories for unfamiliar apps. It runs locally through Ollama, so nothing leaves your computer.
- Generated ambient sound (rain, ocean, wind, brown and pink noise), plus your own audio files on repeat. Current and next tasks also appear on the focus companion, which can shrink to a slim pill.
Improved6
- The Flow Planner's add field also finds existing Workspace and Obsidian tasks, and every task can be edited in place.
- Breaks scale with the session (Deep Work 50 → 10 minutes, Flow 90 → 18), there is a new 15-minute Light mode, and the next session can start automatically after a short break.
- The coach also speaks between sessions, after a long stretch spent mostly on distractions. It stays quiet during planned breaks, in the evening and on days off.
- The Weekly Retro reads like a review: the week in brief, how each day felt, plans against what happened, your best focus hours, and where time leaked compared with the week before.
- The Cognitive Atlas shows activity as blocks you can open, with the project, folder, vault or site behind each one.
- Automatic updates you control, on by default and never during a focus session, plus a manual check in Settings → About.
Fixed1
- Privacy and accuracy: private-browsing windows are never recorded, activity is deleted on the retention schedule you set, and the coach and Distraction Shield measure exactly the time window they report.
See it in your own day.
